Four years ago, 42 LOUNGE began serving drinks and games in Downtown Milwaukee. On MAY 6th, they celebrated their anniversary by inviting customers to come drink with them and experience their new spring menu, dance to the cosmic sounds of DJ KHEK and BOUNCE THE DJ and dress as their favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away…

We participated in the RAW Artists Milwaukee event held at The Rave / Eagles Club. The event featured our work as well as a lot of other great artists and vendors, including live dance performances, live bands, an in-house DJ, live hair and makeup pedestal models, and an amazing runway fashion show featuring local MKE fashion designers. We weren’t ‘on the job’ photography wise but managed to snap a few pics when we weren’t chatting it up with guests and other artists. Thank you to everyone who attended and to our fellow artists. The drinks were expensive but the art was beautiful. We hope this event spurs not only collaboration ideas but friendships!

Below are a few of the pictures we took at an 80’s themed birthday party which was held at Club Garibaldi’s in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood.
Kick ass music, a classic balloon arch prom photo booth setup, good people and good beer on tap.  #NoComplaints

Hi everybody!

We have been hand-selected by RAW Artists to show our work at their next highly anticipated artist showcase in Milwaukee called “VERSE”, but we need your help!

The event will be held at @ the Rave on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 from 7:00PM-11:30PM. The event is 18+ and the dress code is stylish. There will be over 60 artists at the event, from nerdy photographers such as Panda and I, dj’s, makeup artists, designers, painters, and so on! This show is going to be huge with tons of entertainment and also great for shopping!

We are writing to you to ask for your support so that we could be a part of this amazing event! Not only can this event help us network with other great local artists and expose us to 700+ attendees, it can help us expand nationally as well!

Here’s how:

  • First, there is the chance to network and make new amazing connections with the community of artists they work with and permanent portfolio placement on their site!
  • We will have professional artist headshots done and receive professional pictures of our work (photos of photos, lol).
  • We will be eligible to win the RAW artist of the year award locally and/or nationally in 2018!
  • We will have an opportunity to showcase again outside of Milwaukee at any other RAW location of our choice in a new market!
  • We will also be automatically eligible to join the newest branch of their company called FOUND: Agency, which is a creative agency where they link the artists with clients for work, campaigns, paid gigs, and similar opportunities!

All we have to do is sell 20 tickets to help promote the event and it also goes towards helping us cover our cost for the show. Your support would be greatly appreciated. The tickets are only $22 and need to be sold by Thursday, April 13th in order for us to participate. If you buy them from us, you get the presale price and save $8 because they go up to $30 at the door. In addition to supporting us and our work, you will also be able to see a lot of other great artists and vendors, including live dance performances, live bands, our in-house DJ, live hair and makeup pedestal models, and an amazing runway fashion show featuring local fashion designers!

You can purchase tickets right from our RAW artist profile:
http://www.rawartists.org/bokeheffect

Special Offer/Incentive!
The first 20 tickets purchased will be entered into a special raffle to win your choice of one of our ready-to-hang sexy works of art ($175 Voucher).  The voucher is good for anything in the Bokeh Fine Art store or can be used towards a future project with us (wedding photography for example).

If you are unable to attend, you can still purchase a ticket to support our participation as a sponsor.   If you are part of the initial 20 tickets sold, you will also be entered to win the $175 voucher.  You do not need to be present to win!

The bar will be open so come enjoy a few drinks and peruse some amazing MKE artists.
Thank you so much!

Celebrating the release of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast movie, 42 Lounge threw a party!  A sampling of dance floor pics are below.  You can view the full gallery on their Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/pg/42Lounge/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1467577549921695

Sarah and Ryan decided it would be a great idea to bump around Milwaukee for engagement pictures.  What you don’t necessarily see in the pictures is the quite uncomfortable windchill we were dealing with this particular Saturday in January in Wisconsin in the Northern Hemisphere. haha

Seriously though – totally worth it!  We started off our travels on that always-used-for-engagement-photography bridge connecting the Milwaukee Art Museum to Wisconsin Avenue.  It’s a damn good bridge and photographs well.  #SorryNotSorry

We then headed towards the Pabst Brewery to capture some of those cream city bricks.  Sarah and Ryan also took this opportunity to fight over Brewers v Giants.  No word yet on the winner but I surmise that once the ring is on his finger, him and the Brewers will know their role.

A quick stop at the Hubbard Park Beer Garden (sadly not open year round) provided us with a sweet tunnel to shoot through.  On the other side, the two paired in flannel, channeled their inner Abercrombie while sprinkles of snow completed the scene.

We ended our engagement photography travels at Camp Bar Shorewood for a few final pictures, bloody’s for them and whiskey for me.  Protip:  This is how all engagement shoots should end.
